Llandudno is located on the North Wales coast in the United Kingdom. The town boasts two beautiful beaches with the northern beach framed between two headlands called the Great Orme and Little Orme. As North Wales largest tourist resort the town has plenty of great tourist attractions for visitors of all ages.

Visitors to Llandudno have a wide choice of accommodation to choose from including top quality hotels and self catering apartments. The promenade curves elegantly and is lined with hotels offering everything from full board to bed and breakfast rates. Away from the promenade is a large choice of guest houses and bed and breakfasts along with self catering apartments.

The town has many great attractions to entertain visitors of all ages. Of special interest are the two beaches, the North Shore and the West Shore. Llandudno Pier is located close to the Great Orme on the North Shore and is the longest pier in Wales and was built over 100 years ago. Take a walk along the pier for great views of the town and bay.

No visit to Llandudno should pass without a trip to the summit of the Great Orme. There are a variety of ways to reach the summit from walking or by car to riding in the Great Orme cable car which is the longest cable car ride in the United Kingdom. Another great option for reaching the summit is the Great Orme tramway which takes you from the town centre in two stages to the top. Views from the summit are excellent and on clear days you can see the mountains of Snowdonia and Anglesey.

There's plenty to do for the fit and active in Llandudno with a great dry ski slope on the Great Orme. A toboggan can keep the kids entertained and the ski lodge offers views over the whole area whilst enjoying a drink and some food. Llandudno Sailing Club is located close to the centre of the promenade and offers temporary memberships for people visiting the area.

If you're one for exploring North Wales has some of the best scenery in the United Kingdom right on the doorstep of Llandudno. The Snowdonia National Park is just 30 minutes away by car and is home to the tallest mountain in England and Wales. Alternatively explore some of North Wales stunning medieval castles with the closest being in Conwy just ten minutes from Llandudno. For the more adventurous visit majestic Caernarfon Castle which is possibly the most stunning of all the castles in Wales and Beaumaris Castle on the Isle of Anglesey. Both are within 30 minutes drive of Llandudno.

Whatever you're looking for and whatever your budget a visit to Llandudno and North Wales isn't something that should be missed. The region is both beautiful and spacious and is packed with great things to do.
